SERVICES
Initial Phone Consult:
This 15 minutes is a brief conversation to assess your needs and to determine if my services would be a good fit. If it is determined that you and I are not a good fit, if needed, I will offer resources for you to continue your search.
Individual Counseling:
This one-to-one time is designated for you to take space and focus on yourself without interruptions from other roles or responsibilities. It is centered around your needs and your hopes for change and is used to explore, process, challenge, and promote change as needed to achieve your goals.
Grief Consultations:
This service is offered to businesses, organizations, and ministries and is educational in nature. It is sometimes difficult to know how to show up for someone after loss and grief-specific support isn’t something that is generally discussed during leadership or peer training. Through this service, I offer grief education and thoughtful, compassionate practices for stepping in during this time of need.

60 minutes Telehealth intake session - $180.00
53 minutes Telehealth therapy session - $120.00
60 minutes Telehealth or in-person grief consultation- $150.00- $200.00
90-120 minutes Telehealth grief support group- (coming soon)

Insurance:
In-Network
I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC (BCBS), United Healthcare (UHC), Cigna, Aetna, Oscar Health, Oxford, EAPs (Cigna and Optum), Medcost, United Behavioral Health (UBH), and State Health Plan. Any co-payment or full-payment (depending on your insurance coverage) is due at the time of service.
Out-of-Network
If you have an insurance plan other than what is listed above, full payment is required at the time of your service. If requested, you will be provided a superbill (invoice) to present to your insurance provider to request reimbursement. Be sure to consult with your insurance provider prior to engaging in counseling services to determine if reimbursement is provided.

Court Fees:
If my presence is required in court, a fee of $250.00 per hour (with a 1-hour minimum charge) and an automatic 1- hour prep session fee is payable prior to the court date ($500.00 retainer deposit). This includes my physical presence and standby phone testimony. Please understand that should you become involved in legal proceedings, this could result in termination of therapy services due to confidentiality disclosures potentially impacting the therapeutic relationships
Renew & Empower Counseling and Consulting, PLLC will not provide custody evaluations nor custody recommendations. Neither Renew & Empower Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, nor Cassandra M. Smith, LCMHC is trained in this area.
Additional Communication:
On occasions when communication with you or on your behalf occurs outside of the normal counseling session, I charge a prorated hourly fee (typically $135/hr) whenever that communication or work exceeds 15 minutes. Thus, I may charge a prorated fee for coordination of care communications including - completing additional assessments, emails, phone calls, phone meetings, and/or in-person meetings with other care providers.
Missed Appointment Fees:
In order to more efficiently schedule and serve the clientele of Renew and Empower Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, it will be necessary to assess a fee of $75 for unattended sessions or sessions not rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the original appointment. It will also be necessary to rescind recurring appointment times if two consecutive sessions are unattended or not rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
